Tuesday, March 10: An officer stopped to investigate an occupied car parked at a local restaurant at 2:38 a.m. and found a delivery person taking a nap. At 5:21 p.m. someone reported that a door was ajar at the old powder house, a small brick structure next to Town Hall. Police asked the Department of Public Works to send someone to secure the door.
Wednesday, March 11: A woman was taken by ambulance from a Still River Road address to Nashoba Valley Medical Center at 6:27 a.m. State police asked Harvard police to assist with a motor vehicle stop on the Ayer Road overpass at 1:39 p.m. A utility pole on Fairbank Street was reported on fire at 4:10 p.m. Firefighters extinguished the blaze and reported the incident to National Grid. At 9:02 p.m. police checked and secured a home on Harvard Road after being asked by Littleton police to investigate a report they received of a residential alarm being activated. At 10:13 p.m. an officer removed a limb in the roadway on East Bare Hill Road. Police responded to a report of a tractor-trailer truck off the road on Ayer Road at 11:49 p.m. and called a tow truck to pull it back onto the road. The driver was cited for an unspecified violation.
Thursday, March 12: At 3:13 p.m. police investigated a report of a truck parked at the end of a driveway on Hillcrest Drive, but found that the truck was not blocking a driveway and determined that no action was needed.
Friday, March 13: An officer on patrol on Pinnacle Road at 2:41 a.m. stopped to investigate lights on at the Oak Ridge Observatory, then checked and secured the building. A man was taken by ambulance from a Trail Ridge Way address to Nashoba Valley Medical Center at 11:18 a.m. At 5:21 p.m. the ambulance took a man from a Still River Road address to Nashoba Valley Medical Center. Police responding to a medical alarm on Shaker Road at 5:39 p.m. found that the alarm had been accidentally activated.
Saturday, March 14: At 1:03 p.m. Boxborough police asked Harvard police to assist in responding to a domestic situation in that town. At 1:46 p.m. police received a report that a tree had fallen on two people at an East Bare Hill Road home (see story). Also at 1:46 p.m. the Devens ambulance, covering for the Harvard ambulance, responded to a medical emergency reported on Green Hill Road.
Sunday, March 15: An officer made note of unattended vehicles parked on Oak Hill Road at 8:15 a.m. and on Ayer Road at 9:43 a.m. Firefighters cut down a tree on fire on Warren Ave. and extinguished the blaze at about 2:15 p.m.; a permitted brush fire had ignited the tree. Boxborough police reported at 4:36 p.m. that a motorcycle had been in an accident on Pinnacle Road before taking off onto Littleton County Road. A Harvard officer located the bike on Mass. Ave. and, after discovering that the driver needed medical attention, summoned the ambulance, which transported the injured man to Nashoba Valley Medical Center.
Monday, March 16: A man stopped at the police station at 7:50 a.m. seeking legal advice. At 8:10 a.m. the ambulance transported a woman from the Bromfield School to Nashoba Valley Medical Center. At 7:45 p.m. a Littleton Road resident called for assistance with her 13-year-old son who had locked himself in his room. An officer spoke to mother and son and restored the peace.
