Tuesday, August 19: A caller on Oak Hill Road told dispatch at 11:19 p.m. that it sounded like someone was in her house. Police responded and checked the area, but found nothing.
Wednesday, August 20: At 4:24 p.m. a child with a leg laceration was transported to Nashoba Valley Medical Center.
Thursday, August 21: A caller on Glenview Drive reported at 3:52 a.m. that five dogs belonging to a neighbor were at his fence barking. The owner came out and retrieved the animals. A two-car accident occurred at 9:20 a.m. at Ayer and Old Mill roads. One person was transported to Nashoba Valley Medical Center; one car was towed. No citations were issued. A man was transported to Nashoba Valley Medical Center from a Cleaves Hill Road address at 11:16 a.m. Someone stopped at the station at 1:04 p.m. to report a case of credit card fraud. At 7:14 p.m. a woman who had fallen off a horse was transported from Bolton Road to Emerson Hospital.
Friday, August 22: While on patrol at 1:11 a.m. an officer saw a car occupied by four teenagers parked near the track on Lancaster County Road, and asked the youths to move along. At 1:24 a.m. an officer stopped a car driven by a Lowell man for a traffic violation on Ayer Road and issued him a summons when he discovered the man was driving with a revoked registration. The car was towed and the driver was transported to McDonald’s. At 6:05 a.m. police discovered that a signpost near the east-bound ramp on Route 2 had been bent over, apparently the result of a hit-and-run accident. The incident was reported to state police.
Saturday, August 23: While on patrol near Fruitlands at 1:18 a.m. an officer observed a car in the Fruitlands parking lot with the motor running and doors open. Upon investigation the officer found it was an employee who was just leaving. A woman was transported from a Slough Road address to Emerson hospital at 8:22 a.m. A man stopped at the station at 1:31 p.m. looking for some legal advice. A woman came to the station at 1:45 p.m. asking to speak to an officer about a past motor vehicle accident. A caller on Ayer Road reported at 3:19 p.m. that someone was taking a table from the Goodwill box. On investigating, police found the person was actually dropping off the table at the box. At 11:42 p.m. a man on Stonecutters Path was arrested for domestic assault and battery, after police responded to a call from a woman who said that he had hit her. The ambulance responded, but the woman refused transport to the hospital. The man was released on bail the next day.
Sunday, August 24: A woman called at 9:31 a.m. to report a suspicious-looking man walking on Prospect Hill Road. Police investigated and found that the man was walking to Fruitlands. At 4:10 p.m. a caller on Warren Ave. reported that there was a vehicle parked in an unusual place on the road. Police located the owner, who asked his son to move the vehicle. A caller phoned the station at 4:56 p.m. to complain about a car speeding in the area of Fairbank Street and Littleton Road, but was unable to provide police with the vehicle’s plate number.
Monday, August 25: Because there was only one officer on duty at the Harvard station, Boxborough and Stow police responded to a 3:23 a.m. call from an Eldridge Road resident, who reported the car alarm sounding. Officers determined that someone may have been attempting to steal gas. A caller reported the presence of gravel and tar on Bolton Road at 6:30 p.m. It turned out to be the result of preparations on the road for stone sealing.
