At a time of pressure, not to mention a lot of snow, it is refreshing to have a moment of pause, for pure undiluted fun and celebration. Anyone who was at the new initiative, Festival of Cultures, Friday night, felt just that: pure fun and celebration. The enthusiasm was contagious. The turnout was fantastic.
As we now enter a time of elections and other pressures, let’s take the sentiment of this evening forward. It was an event that spoke from the heart of our town and our times. It celebrated tradition, it had its eye on cost containment while dedicated to enhancing the richness of our educational curriculum. It embraced and utilized the strength, diversity, and unity of our community.
Everyone should put it in their calendar for next year.
