Deed restriction issued for addition
Consulting engineer Dan Wolfe of Ross and Associates obtained a seven-bedroom deed restriction for Whitney Lane clients Russell and Linda Shappy, which was the first of two hurdles the Whitney Lane Farms owners must surmount in order to build an addition to their five-bedroom, 8,600-square-foot house.
Next, the Zoning Board of Appeals must approve the proposed changes to the property, which is nonconforming due to its proximity to the road.
The Shappys plan to replace an outdoor patio with a brick/concrete wall with a sunroom and porch, Wolfe said. The gabled third floor will see a new television and video game room combined with an exercise area.
