As a 60-year resident of “fair Harvard,” and never having taken advantage of this form of free speech (free Press?), I feel compelled at this time to express deep gratitude and appreciation for the Hildreth House and what it has meant to so many of us. We can thank the 60-Plus Club which, through many years of service, money, and muscle, created and completely refurbished it into a welcoming, warm, comfortable home for the seniors in town. The untiring efforts of our Council on Aging director, Ginger Quarles, with the help of our outreach person, Maria Holland, and entertainment planner Bill Herbert, see that we are well fed, well cared for, and have many happy hours together in our lovely home. It is hard to imagine being uprooted and moved anywhere else. Please do not take Hildreth House away from us!
