The Fourth of July Committee is busy planning this year’s activities, but there are two important jobs town residents can do to help out.
First, please make sure you purchase a Fourth of July T-shirt. They are available at the General Store and for sale Saturdays at the transfer station. It’s important to remember we receive no money from the town. All the Fourth of July activities—the fireworks, the parade, and the field activities—are supported from the sales of the shirts. This year there are a range of colors—yes, the popular tie-dye is back again—and styles (short and long-sleeve), so please help us carry on Harvard’s amazing Fourth of July tradition by purchasing a shirt.
Second, join the fun by entering a float in this year’s parade. The theme this year is the Olympics! Get together with friends and neighbors to creatively bring the theme to life and show the town your Olympic and Fourth of July spirit.
