Wednesday, July 2
At 6:49 p.m. the ambulance and Engine 2 were called to a crash on Route 2 westbound; firefighters checked the area for spilled fluids but found none. At 6:55 p.m. a caller reported smoke in the Trail Ridge Way area, but firefighters found nothing burning.
Thursday, July 3
At 10:56 a.m. a firefighter observed an Ayer Road resident burning brush out of season and ordered the fire put out.
Friday, July 4
At 2:57 p.m. a 911 caller reported a vehicle fire on Route 2 westbound; both Harvard and Littleton responded. Harvard’s Engine 2 crew helped control traffic and clean up debris; Littleton firefighters put out the fire. At 8:24 p.m. a fire alarm went off at a Littleton County Road home, and Engine 2 responded. The cause of the alarm was a faulty detector, and the homeowner was advised to replace it.
