In the past week, police made 50 motor vehicle stops, 36 resulting in verbal warnings and 13 in written warnings or citations; one car was towed. Officers also responded to two disabled motor vehicles and two false burglar alarms.
Tuesday, Aug. 25
At 11:57 a.m. an officer took a report of larceny, forgery, or fraud. At 12:23 p.m. a Woodside Road resident complained that a car was parked on his lawn; however, an officer found it was parked on the road. At 4:58 p.m. a landlord-tenant dispute led a Pinnacle Road resident to complain about a previous basement break-in. At 6:56 p.m. a 911 caller from Bolton said two motorcyclists were popping wheelies on Still River Road and were headed toward Harvard.
Wednesday, Aug. 26
At 8:56 a.m. a burglar alarm went off at an Old Littleton Road home. An officer found a door had been left open accidentally. At 10:04 a.m. a 911 caller reported that a car on Stow Road had run into the guardrail when the driver swerved to avoid an animal in the road; one person was injured. At 5:51 p.m. a 911 caller told police a man at St. Benedict Abbey in Still River had made threats to return with a firearm and shoot the dogs there. Although the man had left the area, police were later able to identify him, as reported in the Harvard Police Department’s post on Facebook. However, the person who reported the threats did not wish to press charges.
Thursday, Aug. 27
At 10:18 a.m. someone came to the station to speak with an officer about the incident at St. Benedict Abbey. At 11:35 a.m. an officer took a report of another case of larceny, forgery, or fraud. At 3:34 p.m. a caller reported a fallen tree branch near the intersection of Sherry and Littleton County roads. However, an officer found the branch posed no hazard. At 6:47 p.m. a Trail Ridge Way resident called about someone doing burnouts and speeding in the parking lot; an officer spoke with the driver.
Friday, Aug. 28

Saturday, Aug. 29
At 9:11 a.m. a Mass. Ave. resident called, asking police to remove an unwanted family member from the property; the person was returned to his own home.
Sunday, Aug. 30
At 9:08 a.m. the same Mass. Ave. resident called to speak with an officer about the mental health of the person who had been removed from his property the day before. At 10:21 a.m. a caller asked for guidance about retrieving his possessions from a car belonging to another family member. At 6:20 p.m. a caller alleged that someone at a business on Ayer Road was making threats against employees.
Monday, Aug. 31
At 7:35 a.m. an officer found a paving company’s vehicles were obstructing Ayer Road; the pavers were told to move the vehicles and to get a police detail for safety before resuming work there. At 10:16 a.m. a Mass. Ave. resident asked police to remove an unwanted person from his property. Police took the 26-year-old Bolton resident to court based on a warrant for a mental health evaluation. At 7:09 p.m. on Ayer Road, a 30-year-old Harvard resident received a summons for driving without a license in a vehicle with no inspection sticker, as well as failing to notify the Registry of Motor Vehicles of a change of name or address; the car was towed.
