Eric Ward has won the Oct. 8 special town election to fill the vacant fifth seat on Harvard’s Select Board. His margin of victory over his opponent, Adam Wool, was 383 to 275.
A total of 660 ballots were cast, including one write-in and one blank. With 4,821 Harvard and enfranchised Devens residents registered to vote, turnout was 13.7%.
Ward will serve until Town Election in May, 2026, when the term of the now-filled seat expires. The seat has been open since this past spring when former member Rich Maiore resigned.
