The Ambulance Service responded to 13 calls and transported seven patients to the hospital, two with Advanced Life Support services on board. Ambulance crews provided one lift assist and responded to four motor vehicle collisions.
Wednesday, May 28
At 4:28 p.m. Engine 2 went to the house on Stow Road that had been hit by a delivery truck. Firefighters found minor damage to the house but advised the homeowner to contact the building inspector. At 4:39 p.m. an ambulance crew checked on the pedestrians who had been struck by a car near Ayer Road and Cortland Lane, but the people refused ambulance transport; the fire chief found no fire services were needed at the scene.
Friday, May 30
At 8:08 a.m. a carbon monoxide alarm went off at a home on Poor Farm Road; the duty officer found the alarm chirping, but there was no trace of the gas; the owner was advised to replace the alarm. At 2:40 p.m. Engine 2 and the ambulance stood ready to assist at a crash on Interstate 495 southbound; they waited at Route 111 but were released. At 4:52 p.m. Harvard firefighters were called to a crash on Route 2, but the call was canceled.
Sunday, June 1
At 2:42 a.m. Engine 2 responded to a one-car crash on Route 2 westbound. Firefighters cleaned up debris; no one required ambulance transport.
