Townwide cleanup
The 2025 townwide cleanup and garlic mustard pull will take place April 24-27. Sign up for a road segment at SignUpGenius, bit.ly/2025Cleanup-GM. Pick up supplies at Westward Orchards, 178 Mass. Ave., April 23, 2 to 4 p.m., and April 26, 9 to 11 a.m.
Collect trash and garlic mustard, and leave trash on the side of the road. The DPW will begin pickup Monday, April 28.
Log back in to report how many bags of trash you collected, whether you saw any garlic mustard, and whether you pulled it.

HCT tree-for-all
The Harvard Conservation Trust will distribute white oak seedlings to Harvard Conservation Trust members on the Common Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Sunday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to noon. If you are not a member, join online at harvardconservationtrust.org/join-hct.
Transfer station stickers
Transfer station stickers are now on sale via mail or online. Stickers will not be prorated; both stickers must be purchased at the same time, and stickers purchased will be mailed out by June 15. Prices remain unchanged from last year, at $130.00 for two stickers. Visit the transfer station webpage for forms and information: harvard-ma.gov/transfer-station.
Well water testing
The Board of Health recommends well water be tested every five years, or any time a change is noted in color, smell, or taste. Water quality testing is also required in preparation for a home sale. April break youth soccer clinic
Harvard Park and Recreation is sponsoring an indoor soccer clinic for children in grades K-6 April 22 to 24 in the Hildreth Elementary School gym. Led by Bromfield varsity boys soccer coach Alex Horne, the program will work on skill-building drills, teamwork, fun mini games, and more. Register at harvardma.myrec.com.
Ask the Climate Initiative Committee
In recognition of the 55th anniversary of Earth Day, members of the Harvard Climate Initiative Committee will be at the Harvard General Store, 1 Still River Road, Tuesday, April 22, 3 to 5 p.m., to discuss Earth Day topics of interest to residents. Bring questions and concerns, and join for a lively discussion.
Donations for library book sale
The Friends of the Harvard Public Library are accepting donations of used books, CDs, DVDs, and jigsaw puzzles for the annual book sale on May 9-11. Email HPLBooksale@gmail.com with questions, or visit tinyurl.com/2025Booksale to volunteer.

Success in farming and homesteading
The Agricultural Advisory Commission is soliciting input from residents on what farmers and homesteaders need to be more successful. A short survey is available at harvardgrown.org. Answers will be kept confidential and respondents may choose to remain anonymous.
As a follow-up to the survey, the commission will hold an agricultural forum Saturday, April 19, 5 p.m., at FiveSparks, 7 Fairbank St. Residents may share questions, comments, and concerns. Light refreshments will be served.
FY26 budget tour
Linda Dwight, superintendent of schools, and Dan Nason, town administrator, will review the town and school budgets and answer questions in a series of in-person discussions.

The Planning Board will conduct in-person information sessions to discuss the creation of a town center overlay zoning district and the use of a form-based code in the commercial district:

Park-and-ride shuttle to Littleton station
The Montachusett Regional Transit Authority (MART) provides commuter shuttle service connecting Harvard residents to the Littleton commuter rail station. Shuttles stop at the Holy Trinity parking lot at 15 Still River Road and at the business plaza at 285 Ayer Road, and shuttle riders can park their cars at these locations. For pickup times, go to mrta.us, click on “Schedules and Maps,” and then on “Harvard Commuter Shuttle.”
