Town Meeting is May 3
Town Meeting will be held Saturday, May 3, noon, at the Bromfield School’s Cronin Auditorium. The warrant will contain 44 articles for residents to vote on. Printed copies of the Town Meeting booklet, which includes the warrant, are available in Town Hall. Election is May 6
The Town Election will be held Tuesday, May 6, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., in the Hildreth Elementary gymnasium at 27 Mass. Ave.
Real estate taxes due
Real estate tax payments are due Thursday, May 1. Payment information:
- Cash or checks can be brought into Town Hall between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Thursday.
- Checks can be left in the drop box in front of Town Hall 24/7.
- Online via UniPay by electronic check, credit, debit or bill pay through your personal bank. Bill pay checks are accepted but there may be a delay with your bank sending the check by May 1. You will incur late fees if the check does not reach Town Hall by May 1.
- A check can be mailed to the lockbox processing center at Town of Harvard-Dept 2700 PO Box 986535 Boston, MA 02298-6535. If not received by the processing center by May 1 it will be sent back to you, and late fees and interest will be applied. If you send payment to the lockbox you must send a check for the exact amount and a copy of the coupon that is attached to your bill.

Master plan survey
In preparation for an upcoming review of the town’s master plan, the Planning Board seeks input from residents on the prioritization and continuation of goals identified in the 2016 Master Plan Report. An online survey, which should take about 10 minutes, is available on the town website at harvard-ma.gov/planning-board.
Behavioral health help line
The Massachusetts behavioral health help line connects individuals and families with mental health and/or substance abuse concerns to comprehensive treatment services. The help line is free, confidential, and available to anyone living in Massachusetts. No health insurance is required.

Transfer station stickers
Transfer station stickers are now on sale via mail or online. Stickers will not be prorated; both stickers must be purchased at the same time, and stickers purchased will be mailed out by June 15.

HCT tree-for-all
The Harvard Conservation Trust will distribute white oak seedlings to Harvard Conservation Trust members on the Common Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Sunday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to noon. If you are not a member, join online at harvardconservationtrust.org/join-hct.
FY26 budget tour
Linda Dwight, superintendent of schools, and Dan Nason, town administrator, will review the town and school budgets and answer questions in a series of in-person discussions.

Donations for library book sale

Save your Styrofoam foam
The Board of Health is organizing a recycling event for packing foam in May. The recycling company will collect #6 bulk white packing Styrofoam and Styrofoam coolers. All foam must be clean, dry, and free of tape. The recycling company does not accept foam packing peanuts, food containers, or insulation board. Hazardous waste collection
The Devens Regional Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center will receive hazardous waste on Wednesday, May 7, and Saturday, May 10, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 9 Cook Street (rear), Devens. Planning Board to discuss proposed zoning changes
The Planning Board will hold in-person information sessions to discuss the creation of a town center overlay zoning district and the use of a form-based code in the commercial district. Drop in Monday, April 28, through Friday, May 2, 9 to 11 a.m. daily, on the patio outside the Harvard General Store, 1 Still River Road, or inside on the second floor in inclement weather. Park-and-ride shuttle to Littleton station
The Montachusett Regional Transit Authority (MART) provides commuter shuttle service connecting Harvard residents to the Littleton commuter rail station. Shuttles stop at the Holy Trinity parking lot at 15 Still River Road and at the business plaza at 285 Ayer Road, and shuttle riders can park their cars at these locations.
