The Ambulance Service responded to two calls and transported one patient to the hospital. There were no motor vehicle collisions requiring ambulance service, and no one needed a lift assist.
Tuesday, April 8
At 10:12 a.m. Harvard firefighters provided mutual aid to Shirley at a large building fire. Engine 4 and the tanker supplied water to fight the fire, which was in an area of Shirley that has no hydrants.
Wednesday, April 9
At 3:19 p.m. firefighters were dispatched to a brush fire along Interstate 495 southbound. However, the fire was so small—about 4 feet square—that a Boxborough crew had already put it out, and the call to Harvard was canceled. At 3:52 p.m. a fire alarm went off at a house on Pinnacle Road, and the fire chief and Engine 2 responded. The alarm had been set off by food that burned while the homeowner was distracted by their dog.
