Harvard Henley Regatta at town beach
The Harvard Henley Regatta, modeled on the U.K.’s Henley Royal Regatta and hosted by the Bromfield Acton-Boxborough rowing team, will be held Saturday, April 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the town beach. Crews from Brookline, Wayland Weston, and Shrewsbury will race one another and BA-B in round-robin format on a 1,000-meter course. Trophies will be awarded for fastest varsity boys and girls 8s and for overall points.
Admission is $5 per individual and $10 for families, no pets.

The Harvard branch of Rollstone Bank will provide shredding of unwanted documents Saturday, April 19, 9 a.m. to noon, at 283 Ayer Road. Bring old tax forms, bank statements, credit card bills, or any paperwork with sensitive, confidential information. Documents will be shredded securely on site. Free and open to the public.
April 19, 1775: The British viewpoint
Mark Nichipor, local historian and former National Park Service ranger, will present a program on the British point of view of the historic events at Lexington and Concord Saturday April 19, 1 p.m., at the Fort Devens Museum, 94 Jackson Road, Devens. What did the British know about supplies at Concord and in the countryside? How was the march to Boston conducted? The presentation will explore the British side through first person documents and accounts to provide a new perspective of the day’s events. Free and open to the public, wheelchair accessible.
Easter egg hunt

Celebrate Earth Day open streets and greenways Tuesday, April 22, 2 to 6 p.m., when MacPherson Road in Devens goes car free. Come bike, scoot, roll, skate, and stroll along next to the Nashua River. Join a guided nature walk at 3 p.m. with the director of the North County Land Trust. Parking available on Bishop Road, no access from W. Main Street.
Senior conference
State Sen. Jamie Eldrige will host his annual senior conference Thursday, April 24, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School, 215 Fitchburg St., Marlborough. The program includes resources for seniors, speakers from the Legislature, yoga, vendors, live music, and raffle giveaways.

Learn to make sourdough
The Goose and Hen farm will offer a class on sourdough bread baking Saturday, April 26, 3 to 4:30 p.m., at 85 Old Littleton Road. Make European-style sourdough bread with simple ingredients and no kneading. Participants will leave with an in-progress loaf plus additional sourdough starter. $30 per person. Celebrating the battles of Lexington Concord
Minute Man National Historical Park will hold a full day of living history programs and demonstrations Saturday, April 19, 9 a.m. to dusk, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Lexington and Concord. Events include tours and demonstrations, open houses at Hartwell Tavern and Smith House, and the Parker’s Revenge tactical demonstration, the signature event featuring hundreds of volunteer reenactors.
