Fire and Ambulance Log: February 18 to 24, 2025

The Ambulance Service responded to seven calls and transported six people to the hospital, two with Advanced Life Support services on board. The ambulance was called to one motor vehicle collision and provided one lift assist.

Tuesday, Feb. 18
At 11:22 a.m. Engine 2 went to an Oak Hill Road home to assist an elderly resident who was trapped in her house by ice blocking the door. The crew broke away the ice so that she was able to get out.

Thursday, Feb. 20
At 5:25 p.m. Engine 2 and the ambulance were called to a two-car collision on Route 2 westbound; four people were taken to the hospital by Harvard and Littleton ambulances, while firefighters contained a minor fluid spill.

Monday, Feb. 24
At 12:45 p.m. Engine 2 was called to a Mass. Ave. building where a water leak was causing problems with the fire alarm system; the owner was advised to contact the alarm company for service.

The police and fire logs are written by a Press reporter based on dispatch logs and interviews with police and fire staff. Decisions to publish or withhold the names of people arrested will be based on our need to balance the privacy of individuals with our responsibility to report news of significance.
