The Ambulance Service responded to 13 calls and transported eight people to the hospital, two with Advanced Life Support services on board. The ambulance also responded to five motor vehicle crashes.
Wednesday, Feb. 12
At 1:17 a.m. firefighters were called to a crash on Interstate 495 northbound, but the call was canceled. At 9:47 a.m. a fire alarm went off at a large commercial building on Ayer Road; Engines 1 and 2, the tower truck, and the tanker all responded. The alarm had been set off by a smoke detector in a duct as the result of some recent HVAC work on the roof of the building.
Thursday, Feb. 13
At 8:58 a.m. Engine 2 was called when a fire alarm went off at a Mass. Ave. building; no cause was found, and the alarm was reset.
Saturday, Feb. 15
At 8:27 p.m. Harvard firefighters were called to a crash on Route 2 westbound, but the call was canceled by Littleton.
Sunday, Feb. 16
At 4:28 p.m. Engine 2 was called to the crash on Bolton Road; the crew stayed on the scene until the car had been safely towed away.
Monday, Feb. 17
At 5:35 a.m. Harvard firefighters received a call to a crash on Route 2 west, but Littleton canceled the call. At 1:19 p.m. a fire alarm went off at a Littleton Road residence; a report on the incident was not yet complete.
