The Ambulance Service responded to one call (a motor vehicle collision) but transported no one to the hospital, nor did anyone require a lift assist.
Monday, Nov. 25
At 3:18 a.m. a driver on Route 2 called 911 to report seeing a brush fire burning behind a house on Old Shirley Road. A forestry truck and Engine 2 went to the scene and found fire covering an area of about 10,000 square feet. It had been caused by improper disposal of hot ashes and took about 90 minutes to extinguish.
Wednesday, Nov. 27
At 4:44 p.m. a caller reported an outdoor fire on Hillcrest Drive. The duty officer informed the resident that outdoor burning was banned, and the person put out the fire.
Friday, Nov. 29
At 5:13 p.m. a fire alarm went off at an Ohlin Lane residence; the duty officer found it had been accidentally set off by cooking.
Sunday, Dec. 1
At 7:53 p.m. Engine 2 and the ambulance were called to a crash on Interstate 495 northbound. Engine 2 covered the Boxborough fire station while Boxborough firefighters dealt with the crash scene.
