In the past week, police made four motor vehicle stops, three resulting in verbal warnings and one in a written warning or citation. Officers also checked on a disabled vehicle, made a mental health evaluation and two well-being checks, helped someone locked out of a vehicle, and responded to two false burglar alarms.
Tuesday, Oct. 8
At 12:28 a.m. a caller reported a car parked in the middle of the road near the intersection of Warren Avenue and Tahanto Trail; police found the car was parked safely by the side of the road because the owner’s driveway had just been repaved.
Wednesday, Oct. 9
At 12:17 a.m. an Old Littleton Road resident called 911, saying she had heard a strange noise and thought someone was outside her house; an officer found no one in the area. At 6:13 p.m. a 911 caller reported another car had clipped the caller’s vehicle on Ayer Road and then driven away. An 18-year-old Harvard woman received a summons for reckless driving and leaving the scene of the collision.
Thursday, Oct. 10
At 9:52 p.m. state police asked Harvard officers to attend to a disabled vehicle on Route 2 eastbound, because the state police were dealing with a crash on the westbound side.
Friday, Oct. 11
At 3:47 p.m. someone called police about a restraining order. At 11:53 p.m. a caller asked police to check on a friend on Old Littleton Road who had asked for help; an officer found there was nothing amiss.
Saturday, Oct. 12:
At 1:24 a.m. someone called saying they had seen a woman being dragged from a car on Route 2 westbound; state police were notified. At 10:49 a.m. a caller reported their mother’s dachshund had run off; the animal control officer was alerted. At 11:58 a.m. a 911 caller complained of loud music on Fairbank Street; there was an outdoor concert at Fivesparks at the old library.
Sunday, Oct. 13
At 9:41 a.m. an Old Littleton Road resident complained of the noise from the gun range at the Harvard Sportsmen’s Club; police said the noise was within normal limits. At 7:42 p.m. an Oak Hill Road resident reported receiving threats from an out-of-state relative; an officer called the relative.
Monday, Oct. 14
At 7:03 p.m. a woman called to say her car had hit a raccoon on West Bare Hill Road, and she was concerned the roadkill might be a hazard to other drivers.
