As a family we would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to everyone for all of the support and love that we’ve received since we moved to Harvard, but especially in the last week. From the first responders, police, and firefighters who worked through the night to recover Jayden, to the entire community—from close friends to complete strangers—who immediately came together to offer food, donations, and comfort, we are profoundly grateful for every gesture, big or small.
Also, to the many, many people who have helped organize events in Jayden’s honor, from the memorial table on the town Common to the memorial service on Wednesday, we cannot express enough thanks for your dedication. Your efforts to celebrate Jayden’s life mean so much to us.
Though this is a difficult time for us as a family, we recognize that the whole town was grieving with us. Seeing the impact that Jayden had on so many people around him, it made our loss just a little bit more bearable. We feel incredibly fortunate to be part of a community such as Harvard, and even luckier that Jayden was able to grow up around such kind, loving people. Without a doubt, Jayden lived happily and without regret in part due to the support of everyone around him.
