A Special Town Meeting will be held Tuesday evening, May 14, at 7 p.m., in the large meeting room in Town Hall. The warrant will contain a single article concerning approval of increased costs for constructing the town water connection to Devens. Recording available: ‘Confronting the Climate Crisis’
Harvard Cable TV has made available the recording of the April 23 presentation by Dr. Jane Flegal, “Confronting the Climate Crisis: Science, Solutions, and Hope for a Sustainable Future.” In this hour-long presentation for Harvard’s Climate Initiative Committee, Dr. Flegal introduces science and policy considerations with the story of “Frankenstein” author Mary Shelley and an 1815 volcanic eruption in Indonesia. Tom Denney Camp registration open
Registration is open for the Tom Denney Nature Camp in Bolton. The camp is for students entering kindergarten through high school. Activities include swimming, games, arts and crafts, hiking, exploring, campfires, and building shelters.

Survey seeks input on administrator job
The Select Board and Town Administrator Search Committee would like residents to share their thoughts and ideas about the qualities they view as necessary in Harvard’s next town administrator. The survey form will be open until Monday, May 13; link to the survey from the “News & Announcements” tab on the town website, harvard-ma.gov.
Elderly and disabled tax aid
The Elderly and Disabled Taxation Aid Committee administers funds to assist elderly and disabled town members with the costs of property taxes. The committee is accepting applications for aid until Monday, May 20. Guidelines to qualify for aid and application forms are at the committee page on the town website, harvard-ma.gov.
Call for art entries
Fivesparks and the Harvard Conservation Trust announce a call for art for Destination: Nature 2024, opening in November at Fivesparks. This year’s theme has been expanded to focus on the geographical area of the Nashua River watershed. Submissions open Sept. 6. Visit destination-nature.org for details.

Register for Jimmy Fund walk
Registration is now open for the 2024 Jimmy Fund Walk, scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 6. Funds raised from the walk support all forms of adult and pediatric patient care and cancer research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
