Reawakening the feminine flow

‘Disability Visibility’ discussion
The Social Justice Ministries Council of the Harvard Unitarian Universalist Church continues its discussion of the book “Disability Visibility,” an anthology of contemporary personal essays from the disabled community edited by disability advocate Alice Wong. Historical Society open house
The Harvard Historical Society at 215 Still River Road, will host an open house Sunday, March 10, 2 to 4 p.m. Visitors can view the society’s collections, including Shaker items, portraits, household items, and hand-painted signs from businesses and public buildings around the Common. Volunteers will answer questions and point out recent acquisitions. Children are welcome.
WBN presentation
The Women’s Business Network will meet Thursday, March 14, at 7:15 p.m. at St. Theresa Church, 15 Still River Road. The presentation will be “Archetypal Secrets to Leveraging the Power of the Subconscious Mind,” on how women entrepreneurs can achieve goals, increase joy, and reduce stress by aligning their businesses with their karmic purposes.

Bromfield trivia night
The Bromfield School Quiz Team hosts its annual trivia night Friday, March 15, at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria. Contestants face questions on art, geography, history, literature, pop culture, science, math, and “Name That Tune.” The event is open to all Bromfield students and community members. Warner Free Lecture
On Friday, March 22, at 7 p.m., at Volunteers Hall at the library, former senior attorney in the state Supreme Judicial Court Barbara Berenson will discuss her book, “Massachusetts in the Woman Suffrage Movement.” Berenson is the author of “Boston in the Civil War: Hub of the Second Revolution” and “Walking Tours of Civil War Boston: Hub of Abolitionism” and is a lecturer at Harvard Law School. This lecture is co-sponsored by the Harvard League of Women Voters.
Easter egg hunt

Climate stories
On Saturday, April 13, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Fivesparks, 7 Fairbank Street, Climate Stories Project director and musician Jason Davis will give a presentation and performance of original music featuring the recorded voices of people from around the world speaking about their responses to climate change. The Nashua River Watershed Association will hold its spring celebration and auction Friday, April 5, 6 p.m., at the Devens Common Center, 31 Andrews Parkway, Devens. Cub Scout breakfast
Ayer Cub Scout Pack 32 will host a breakfast fundraiser Saturday, March 16, from 7 to 11 a.m., at Clear Path for Veterans New England, 84 Antietam St, Devens. There will be all-you-can-eat eggs, pancakes, and bacon for $8; tickets at the door. Proceeds help send scouts to summer camp who might otherwise not be able to afford to go. Harvard Bolton Girl Scout dance
The Bolton and Harvard Girl Scouts will host the “Special Someone Dance Saturday, March 16, 6 to 8 p.m., at the Florence Sawyer School, 100 Mechanic Street, Bolton. The theme is “Under the Sea.” All girls and their “special someones” are welcome. The dance raises funds for activities held by Bolton and Harvard Girl Scouts, including their encampment at Camp Green Eyrie. Cost is $5 per person; $20 maximum per family, cash only. Treats, corsages, portraits, and crafts will be available for purchase.

Marietta Apollonio, Harvard resident and author and illustrator of picture books, will be launching her newest book, “Wombat and the Family Tree,” with a story time at the Silver Unicorn bookstore, 12 Spruce Street, Acton, on Saturday, March 30, at 11 a.m.
