In the past week police made five motor vehicle stops; two resulted in verbal warnings, two in written warnings or citations, and one in a civil citation, which carries a financial penalty. Officers also issued or renewed three firearms permits, performed one well-being check, and responded to two false burglar alarms.
Tuesday, Feb. 13
At 1:43 p.m. a lost iPhone13 was turned in at the station.
Wednesday, Feb. 14
At 10:08 a.m. an officer discussed fraud prevention measures with a local bank. At 12:38 p.m. someone called 911 to report a solicitor going door to door. At 3:49 p.m. a caller reported a broken tree limb on Withington Lane, but an officer found the branch was on private property, not on the roadway or wires.
Thursday, Feb. 15
At 8:10 a.m. someone called to say a dog was loose on Still River Road. But the animal control officer said Harvard has no leash law, so there was nothing to be done. At 10:39 a.m. someone on Littleton County Road expressed concern about odd marks in the snow near her house; police believe the marks were caused by deer pawing at the snow to find grass. At 8:38 p.m. police notified the Department of Public Works that town roads were becoming snow-covered.
Friday, Feb. 16

Saturday, Feb. 17
At 2:01 p.m. a dog sitter reported losing a medium-sized black dog on Babbitt Lane. At 2:47 p.m. a 911 caller told police a dark sedan was speeding and passing multiple cars on Bolton Road. At 5:17 p.m. someone turned in a wallet found on Still River Road. At 5:20 p.m. a caller told police a driver had gotten out of a car on East Bare Hill Road and was lying down in the street, seemingly trying to be run over. When police arrived, they found the 57-year-old Bolton man also had an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court, so they took him into custody.
Sunday, Feb. 18
Nothing significant to report.
Monday, Feb. 19
At 1:59 p.m. a 911 caller reported a case of road rage on Pinnacle Road. Two cars had pulled over; the drivers had gotten out and were shouting at each other. An officer told the two to get back in their cars; one drove off while the officer was speaking to the other.
