New Year’s Day walk
The Harvard Conservation Trust will host a New Year’s Day walk on the Rathore property, the trust’s newest trail, at 11 a.m. The trailhead is on the circle of Mettacomet Path, off of East Bare Hill Road.
The walk will offer both long (1.2 miles) and short (eight-tenths of a mile) options. Note that there is one steep section on the trail, so moderate hiking skills are necessary; wear warm boots, gloves and other appropriate clothing. In case of icy weather or heavy rain, the event will be rescheduled.
Park along the circle of Mettacomet Path.
