Fall walk honors Jim Adelson
On Saturday, Nov. 4, at 1 p.m. the Conservation Commission’s Land Stewardship Committee will lead a fall walk to honor the late Jim Adelson, a longtime member of the committee who was diligent in his care for trails on conservation land across town and enjoyed sharing them with others. Walkers will start at the Burgess-Brown land at the end of Murray Lane, exploring the woods and vernal pools of Great Elms. Walkers can choose to continue to the Williams land, which features a beautiful pond. The walk will be at a moderate pace with a few steep spots; walking sticks are recommended. Sullivan sings at Fivesparks
Singer/songwriter and Harvard resident Erin Ash Sullivan will present a solo concert at Fivesparks Saturday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m. The concert will benefit P.E.O. International, a philanthropic organization that supports the education and advancement of women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans, and stewardship of Cottey College in Iowa. Sullivan’s 2021 debut solo album reached #10 on the Folk Alliance International DJ Chart. A $20 donation per person is suggested. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m. and light refreshments will be served.

The Knights of Columbus will hold their curbside community supper Saturday, Nov. 11, at St. Theresa Church, 15 Still River Road. Historical Society annual meeting
The annual meeting of the Harvard Historical Society will be held Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 215 Still River Road. The business meeting starts at 7 p.m.; at 7:30, the program, “Mozart and Marteney” will feature oboes handcrafted in the style of Mozart’s era by former Harvard resident Eugene Marteney with Mozart-era music, social time, and refreshments to follow. Theater for kids
Harvard’s Claire Hardisty will appear in Concord Youth Theatre’s production of “A Year with Frog and Toad,” a Broadway musical based on children’s books by Arnold Lobel. ‘Beauty in Birdsong’
