Food safety
On Tuesday, July 11, at 1 p.m., nutritionist Deborah McLean will review four steps for food safety, including checking food dates and safe storage.
The Samuel Slater Experience
Learn about Samuel Slater, the “father of the American Industrial Revolution,” through a series of immersive environments, holographs, and theatrical presentations, Friday, July 14, at 10 a.m., in Webster. Museum fee is $8; van fee is $2.
Keep your balance
On Tuesday, July 18, at 1 p.m., representatives from Connections Physical Therapy will discuss the basics of balance, including assessments and how balance changes over time.
Butterflies and lunch
On Wednesday, July 19, at 9 a.m., the van will leave for the Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory in South Deerfield. Enjoy hundreds of butterflies and tropical vegetation to be followed by lunch and shopping at Yankee Candle Village. Fee for the conservatory is $12.50; van fee is $5.

Podiatry sessions
Podiatrist Alissa Kuizinas will hold a podiatry clinic Friday, July 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. She will trim nails and treat corns and calluses. $40 for a 15-minute appointment.
Lunch and wine
There will be a trip to the Pasta Loft restaurant and brewery and Averill House Winery in Milford, New Hampshire, Thursday, July 27, 10:45 a.m. Van fee is $5; space is limited.
Help with computers

Books at home
If you are homebound, call the library at 978-456-4114, or email reference@harvardpubliclibrary.org to have books delivered.
COA van guidelines
Fees for the use of the van vary according to destination; payment in exact change is expected at the time of a ride. To schedule a ride, call the COA; 48 hours’ notice is requested. The van is disinfected daily and between riders. When there is more than one rider, masks are recommended.
The COA is looking for part-time drivers; call for more information.
Fitness classes
Fitness classes are offered online via Zoom and in person.
- Aerobics and weight strengthening: Mondays and Wednesdays, 9 to 10 a.m., via Zoom. $36 per 12-class session.
- Line dancing: Mondays, 10:15 a.m. via Zoom. $4 per class.
- Zumba gold: Wednesdays, 10 a.m. in person at the Bolton COA. Call 978-779-3314.
- Yoga for everybody: Tuesdays, 9:30 a.m. in person at the Congregational Church, 5 Still River Road, and via Zoom. $48 per six-week session; $10 for drop-ins. All in-person attendees must show proof of vaccination.
- Tai chi: Thursdays, 9 a.m. at the Congregational Church, $25/month, $7/class.
