I want to express my sincere appreciation for the town’s support of the Friends of Harvard Public Library annual book sale this past weekend. Thousands of books were donated by townspeople in the weeks prior to the sale and a great number of folks from near and far came to buy books.
All the proceeds go to support programs at the library for kids, concerts, and museum passes all year long. These programs are not supported by our taxes, so we really appreciate the community’s support to ensure that we can continue to offer these enriching experiences for townspeople.
I’d also like to thank our many volunteers for countless hours of work to prepare everything and work the sale itself. They did a wonderful job and we could not do this without them.
We could not run the sale without the support of the library staff and trustees. For this we are truly grateful.
