As tournament season approaches, the baseball and girls tennis teams seem certain to make their way to league and state finals.
In the May 9 Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association power rankings, Bromfield’s baseball players are 14th among the 76 schools in Division 5. And the young squad of girls playing tennis for Bromfield this year is sixth in Division 4. They are undefeated in Midland-Wachusett League play. Each year, the top 30 schools in the MIAA ranking qualify for tournament play, regardless of their record.
The boys and girls track and field teams are scheduled to begin their tournament season Saturday, when they will compete against the 40 or so schools of the Central Massachusetts Athletic Directors Association.
