Welcome to new residents
Arm in Arm, Harvard’s volunteer social justice organization, is welcoming new residents to town by providing welcome bags containing information about town organizations and local businesses. The group is also seeking business contributors. Those interested in contributing to the welcome bags effort should contact arminarm.townofharvard@gmail.com.
Shred Day at Rollstone Bank & Trust
Rollstone Bank & Trust, 283 Ayer Road, will host a Shred Day on May 13. Reduce the risk of identity theft and help the environment by shredding documents such as tax forms, bank statements, and credit card bills. Documents will be shredded free of charge from 9 a.m. to noon.
Yard sale fundraiser
Girl Scout Troop 64747 will hold a multifamily yard sale Saturday, May 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 70 Littleton County Road. The sale, which will feature household items, sporting equipment, toys, books, and more, is to raise funds for a June trip to New York City.
Beach news
Registration is now open for swimming, sailing, and canoe and kayak lessons. Visit harvardma.myrec.com/info/activities/default.aspx to register. There will be three sessions: June 30-July 14, July 17-28, and July 31-Aug.11.
The beach will be staffed with lifeguards from June 24 to Aug. 26. Residents will swim at their own risk before and after this period and after 5 p.m. each day.
Loaves & Fishes
This food pantry, 234 Barnum Road, Devens, offers drive-thru access for those needing help with groceries. Hours are first Tuesday of the month, 5 to 7 p.m., and Wednesdays, Fridays, and third Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon. Upcoming dates are May 12, 17, 20, 24, 26, and 31.
