The undefeated Bromfield boys cross-country team remained at the top of the Midland-Wachusett D League this week after winning its third straight meet, narrowly defeating Tyngsborough 26-29. The girls continue to battle for first place against Littleton. A meet against the Littleton girls Wednesday was an opportunity for the Trojan girls to take the lead.
The Trojan girls soccer team is second in the Mid-Wach C League; they were scheduled to play the first place Littleton Tigers at home on Wednesday, Sept. 28. The team’s coach, Hussein Issa, was featured in a Sept. 26 Worcester Telegram and Gazette story about the team. Now halfway into his first season at Bromfield, Issa coached the Millbury girls for five years before coming to Harvard. During his tenure, the Woolies made it to the Division 4 state finals twice and won the championship in 2019.
