Jacqueline A. Mayo, 93, of Marstons Mills died Sunday, March 13, 2022, at Life Care Center of Acton. She was the wife of the late Arthur E. Mayo Jr.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of John and Margaret Barry, and the sister of the late Virginia Carr. Jacqueline, “Jackie” as she was called, was raised in Boston where she met and married her favorite dance partner, Arthur. Together they settled in Harvard to raise their family. Many laughs, travels, and canasta and poker games were had before they retired to Cape Cod in the late 1980s.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Jacky-Ann Foster and husband Kevin, and grandsons Sean and Drew. She is also survived by her daughter, Susan Fleming and husband Craig, and grandsons, Reed and Austin. Also, not to be forgotten, she leaves her best lifelong friend and confidant, Barbara Geezil.

Jackie will best be remembered for her exceptional kindness, compassion, big heart, and great love of animals.

The family would like to extend a very special thank-you and huge debt of gratitude for the exceptional care and support provided by Life Care Center of Acton. They deeply appreciate all the staff for their kindness, humanity, and professionalism. The entire staff is truly amazing. The family sends a special thank-you to New England Hospice, Partners In Care, who came quickly and were absolutely wonderful.
