Play ball!
The Harvard Youth Baseball and Softball Association will hold an open house Friday, March 4, from 5-7 p.m. at the At Bats batting cages, 235 Summer Road, Boxborough. Families are invited to join the HYSBA for this two-hour free event for softball players (5 to 6 p.m.) and baseball players (6 to 7 p.m.) interested in playing during the spring season.

The Women’s Business Network will meet Thursday, March 10, 7:15 p.m. to discuss “Types of Businesses: Sole Proprietor, LLC, etc.” with attorney Stefano Caprara. WBN is a local, volunteer-run networking group of 60 women in small businesses, professional practices, nonprofits, and the arts who meet monthly for mutual support, education, and networking. Exhibiting peace
Melissa Richard will be showing her abstract-expressionist paintings starting Friday, March 4, at 4:30 p.m., at the Sitka Gallery, Phoenix Park, 2 Shaker Road, Suite D101, in Shirley. The 20th Annual “Taste of Nashoba Valley,” presented by the Nashoba Valley Chamber of Commerce, will be held Tuesday, March 22, 5:30 to 8 p.m., at the Lawrence Academy Stone Athletic Center in Groton center. This community event features representatives from area restaurants, caterers, gourmet and ethnic markets, wineries, brew houses. and local purveyors of fine liquors offering samples of food and beverages. Dance the night away
The “Special Someone Dance” will take place Saturday, April 2, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Florence Sawyer School, 100 Mechanic Street, Bolton. All girls and their “special someone” are invited to enjoy the dancing, food, and fun. This is a cash-only event; the cost is $5 per person with a maximum of $20 per family. Desserts, portraits, craft stations, and corsages will be available to purchase.

The Nashua River Watershed Association 2022 auction gala will be held the evening of Friday, April 29, at the Devens Common Center.
