Congratulations to the 96 members of the Bromfield Class of 2021, who in outdoor ceremonies Sunday afternoon got the send-off they deserved. The occasion was marked by tradition and a few remaining constraints of the pandemic that for 15 months disrupted the social and academic lives of every senior class in Massachusetts.
“Rather than be bitter about what was lost over the past year, you found ways to thrive inside and outside of class,” Bromfield principal Scott Hoffman told the graduates.
The Bromfield seniors of 2021 displayed wisdom beyond their years, adjusting to a chaotic time with remarkable maturity. And judging from Sunday’s faculty and student speeches, they dealt with the dramatically altered circumstances of their final year of high school with realism, grace, and indomitable good nature. The resiliency they displayed will be a hallmark of their class.
We wish them the very best and look forward to celebrating their milestones and accomplishments in the years to come.
