I am a Republican and a conservative, which in this town makes me a distinct minority. Therefore I await the opportunity to address town employees, faculty members, and students on illegal immigration, border security, global warming, Chinese communist imperialism, limited government, taxation, masks, and acid rain, etc.
Disparate groups—some may call them oddballs—have come to Harvard at various times. They were not hindered and for a time flourished; then they disappeared. At least one group supposedly invented the circular saw.
Respect is earned; it should not be legislated.
Voluntary association: YES! Mandatory indoctrination: NO!
