Scott Road resident Jennifer Sundeen has published “Lalla Unveiled: The Naked Voice of the Feminine,” a translation and reinterpretation of a 700-year-old collection of verses written by Lal Ded (“Lalla”), a Kashmiri mystic, saint, and poet. The book includes 112 four-line verses ranging from insights on everyday dilemmas to parables pointing to self-knowledge and the role of meditation. It is accompanied by watercolor illustrations by Harvard artist Linda Hoffman.
