Over the past week, police made 14 motor vehicle stops, 10 resulting in verbal warnings and four in written warnings or citations. There were six calls for help with medical emergencies, and the ambulance squad took six people to area hospitals, one with Advanced Life Support services in attendance. Police also responded to five false burglar alarms and issued or renewed three firearms permits.

Wednesday, Jan. 22
At 7:23 a.m. two vehicles collided on Ayer Road near Dunkin’; no one was injured, but one car was towed from the scene. At 5:02 p.m. a 911 caller reported a crash on Route 2 westbound. State police had jurisdiction over the crash, and the Harvard Ambulance Service transported an injured person to a hospital with Advanced Life Support services in attendance. At 8:33 p.m. a West Bare Hill Road resident called to report several fraudulent phone calls from someone claiming to be an Internal Revenue Service agent.
Thursday, Jan. 23
At 6:27 a.m. a caller alerted police to a rollover crash on Finn Road. The driver was able to get out of the car and said he was not hurt, but he went with the ambulance squad to a hospital to be sure. At 9:04 a.m. an officer stopped a car on Mass. Ave. after running the license plates and finding that the car belonged to someone whose driver’s license had expired. Kevin F. Pendergast, 65, of Marlborough received a summons for driving without a license, and the car was towed. A 911 caller at 11:18 a.m. reported a dog with a hurt paw was wandering at a construction site on Still River Road; the animal control officer was informed. At 12:56 p.m. an officer stopped an unregistered car on Mass. Ave. near the Boxborough line. The car was a business vehicle, so the owner rather than the driver was charged with the violation. Sun K. Kim, 62, of Tyngsborough received a summons for allowing his employee to drive an unregistered motor vehicle. At 6:05 p.m. a Sheehan Road resident called to report two missing dogs. And at 7:14 p.m. someone from Foxglove Apartments on Ayer Road called about receiving several unwanted phone calls from an unknown man.
Friday, Jan. 24
At 4:43 p.m. a driver reported having hit a deer on Littleton Road. The caller said the deer had run off, so an officer searched the area and did find a dead deer, although there was no way of knowing whether it was the same animal.
Saturday, Jan. 25
An East Bare Hill Road resident called at 8:34 a.m. to report a mailbox had been stolen. At 11:58 a.m. someone on Myrick Lane phoned to say that two men in a black SUV near his house had driven away quickly. An officer searched the area but found nothing amiss, noting that the vehicle might have been connected with a real estate open house underway in the area. At 5 p.m. an alarm company told police a residential burglar alarm was sounding in a house on Still River Road. Police checked the building and found no sign of an intruder, although one door was unlocked; they secured the door.

Monday, Jan. 27
At 3:38 p.m. someone called 911 about an argument between two family members on Ann Lees Road. At 11:47 p.m. a Willow Road resident alerted police that he and his wife were outside with flashlights, looking for their missing dog; presumably they thought a neighbor might be alarmed and call police.
