For the second year in a row, seventh-grader Cole Dobbie won Bromfield’s school-level competition of the National Geographic GeoBee Dec. 20. Earlier in the month, Dobbie and second-place finisher John Marolda of the eighth grade advanced to the school-level bee during preliminary classroom competitions. Other participants in the bee included sixth-graders Owen Balsis, Charlie Brown, Margaux Hunt, Parker Kimball, and Isaac Lee; seventh-graders Camille Bradley, Dylan Dobbie, Jacob Furmanick, and Atticus Keep; and eighth-graders Sam Goldgar, Colin Harte, Maggie Reitman, and Kyle Sharma. Dobbie and other school winners from Massachusetts will now take an online test to determine eligibility in the state-level GeoBee March 27.
