Tip #4: Recycling fluorescent bulbs
Long and compact fluorescent bulbs can be dropped off at the Transfer Station during normal business hours. The Transfer Station attendants are trained to pack up fluorescent bulbs and ship them out. Place CFLs in the white 5-gallon buckets outside the shack and long fluorescent tubes in the plastic water drum.

Editor’s Note: On July 1, Harvard will implement its new SMART (Save Money and Reduce Trash) program.
