The Bromfield girls swim team beat Westborough at Clark University, 112-64, on Thursday, Jan. 10, but the boys lost to Westborough, 106-69.
During the Jan. 10 meets there were several victories for the Trojans. One such highlight was sophomore Ella Church’s success in winning the 200-meter individual medley, and 100-meter breaststroke. In addition, junior Izzy Connors won the women’s 100-meter backstroke and 100-meter freestyle. Church and Conners attend Littleton High School. The Bromfield swimming teams are made up of students from Bromfield, Littleton High School, and Ayer-Shirley Regional High School.
Despite their loss, the boys did have some success at their latest meet. Junior Dwight Childers won the 200-meter individual medley and 500-meter freestyle against Westborough.
The Bromfield girls swimming team is currently second in the six-school Mid Wach D League with a record of 5-1-0. The Bromfield boys swimming team is fifth with a record of 3-3-0.
Bromfield was scheduled to compete against Nashoba Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 4 p.m. and against Tantasqua on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 4 p.m.
