With the conclusion of the MIAA Division 4 boys soccer and the All State Division 2 cross-country championships last weekend, Bromfield’s fall sports season is over. The boys soccer team won its match against eastern champ St. Mary’s of Lynn on Saturday, Nov. 17, earning Bromfield the title of Division 4 state champion for the second straight year. Winter sports get underway the week of Dec. 3.



Boys soccer (6-0-1, 16-3-3)

  • 11/14 MIAA Division 4 semifinal vs. Lenox High School, 5-0 win
  • 11/17 MIAA Division 4 final vs. St. Mary’s High School, 3-1 win.


Girls cross-country (3-2, 4-2)

  • 11/18 MIAA All State Division 2 championship. Bromfield placed 14th among 20 competing schools, earning 277 points compared to Littleton’s first place score of 81. Junior Tessa McClain placed 10th among 171 runners with a time of 20:03.47 minutes compared to the winning time of 19:18.51 run by Littleton’s Sara Roffman.


Boys cross-country (4-1, 5-1)

  • 11/18 MIAA All State Division 2 championship. Qualifying junior Will Squire placed 28th among 177 runners with a time of 17:58.31. The winning time of 16:33.89 was earned by Newburyport’s Sam Acquaviva.

Results are as of Tuesday, Nov. 20. For each team, the first set of numbers in parentheses is its Mid-Wach D league record; second set is its overall season record, which includes nonleague games. The @ symbol designates an away contest.
