Sports Roundup: November 16, 2018

The regular fall sports season is over. The boys soccer team has advanced to the MIAA State Division 4 semifinals. The girls cross-country team is preparing for the MIAA All State Division 2 championship. Tessa McClain and Will Squire have qualified to compete as individuals in that meet.



Boys soccer (6-0-1, 12-3-3)

  • 11/7 MIAA Central Division 4 semifinal vs. Hopedale High School, 1-0 win in overtime
  • 11/11 MIAA Central Division 4 final vs. Sutton High School, 3-2 win in overtime


Upcoming schedule

  • 11/14 MIAA Division 4 semifinal vs. Lenox High School (at Chicopee Comprehensive High School), 7 p.m.


Girls cross-country (3-2, 4-2)

  • 11/10 MIAA Central Division 2 cross-country championship. Bromfield placed third among 21 schools to qualify for the state Division 2 championship. Junior Tessa McClain placed fourth in a field of 184 runners.


Upcoming schedule

  • 11/18 All State Division 2 championship (at Stanley Park, Westfield), 1 p.m.


Boys cross-country (4-1, 5-1)

  • 11/10 MIAA Central Division 2 cross-country championship. Bromfield placed 15th among 31 schools. Junior Will Squire placed eighth in a field of 221 runners with a time of 16:57 minutes.


Upcoming schedule

  • 11/18 All State Division 2 championship (at Stanley Park, Westfield), 11:40 a.m.
