Sunday, Nov. 11
Six firefighters responded to a car accident on Route 2 westbound in Littleton at 12:10 p.m. The Harvard crew was canceled en route as the Littleton Fire Department arrived first on the scene.

Tuesday, Nov. 13
A carbon monoxide (CO) alarm at a Still River Road residence drew three firefighters and one recruit to the scene at 9:44 a.m. The firefighters checked the house but found no signs of CO. They found a faulty detector and advised the resident to replace it..
Wednesday, Nov. 14
At the monthly department meeting, 16 firefighters and one recruit practiced their hose advancement skills—how to work with and move fire hose through a building—in the Hildreth Elementary School. They trained from 7 until 10 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 17
At 11:20 a.m. seven firefighters responded to a two-car crash on Depot Road. One driver was taken to the hospital. No fluids were spilled; the firefighters waited for both cars to be towed. Saturday afternoon Lt. Bill Barton and firefighters Rob Williams and Billy Nigzus strung the holiday lights on the tree on the Common.
Sunday, Nov. 18
An automatic CO alarm in a Littleton County Road residence brought out eight firefighters at 8:52 p.m. The firefighters checked the home and in-law apartment but found no signs of CO. They advised the homeowner to ask the alarm company to service the system.
Monday, Nov. 19
Chief Rick Sicard responded to a 9:40 a.m. call from a Slough Road residence about a ringing CO alarm. The chief checked the house and found elevated levels of CO in the home and the garage. He was able to ventilate the house by opening the windows. The cause was not identified; the chief advised the homeowner to have the furnace serviced.
Tuesday, Nov. 20
Six firefighters responded to weather-related car crashes at 9:05 a.m. and 9:24 a.m. The first was on Bolton Road. Lt. Perry was first on the scene. He arranged for a tow truck and had the other firefighters wait at the station. When the second call came in, Perry met the other five firefighters on West Bare Hill Road where a car had rolled over. The driver refused transport to the hospital. No fluids were spilled; the firefighters waited for the car to be towed.
Wednesday, Nov. 21
Lt. Perry and Lt. Justin Warren trained three probationary firefighters on the use of air packs from 7 until 10 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 22, and Friday, Nov. 23

Fire Department Factoid
The department wants to remind residents about some winter safety tips. “Always clear a second exit out of your house. Don’t forget to shovel snow away from your furnace and dryer vents. And be sure your house number is visible from the street and not covered in snow,” said Lt. Perry.
