Many thanks to the Fruitlands Museum staff, especially Harriet Friedrich and Tracee Bergeron, for creating a beautiful space and delicious buffet breakfast on Saturday before the Craft Fair for school nurses and guests to learn about how the roll-out of the adult-use recreational marijuana law is intended to minimize increased marijuana use by youth from Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commissioner Jen Flanagan and Senator Jamie Eldridge. Forty-five school nurses from all over Massachusetts experienced a bit of Harvard history and beauty while grappling with the fact that early adolescent onset and frequency of marijuana use are related to problem marijuana use in later years.
We appreciate Fruitlands’ willingness to support professional development on the same day as their annual Craft Fair!
