Recent events have demonstrated that of the three Republican candidates for U.S. Senate, Beth Lindstrom is the only candidate who possesses the character to be a U.S. senator.
Geoff Diehl has pulled out of no fewer than four previously agreed upon debates, including debates on Channel 5 and WGBH. He and John Kingston are now refusing repeated media requests for additional debates.
Diehl and Kingston are unwilling to have their positions tested in a debate format in plain view of the voters. It is a striking display of how unqualified they are for the office they seek. Rather than rising to the occasion, they shrink from the challenge and resort to excuses.
You can be assured that Elizabeth Warren would like nothing better than to run against such timid candidates.
As voters, if we want to get more from our elected officials then we have to expect more from our candidates.
Beth Lindstrom has been meeting voters every day, asking for debates, answering questions, and making herself and her positions available. She is working hard to earn the privilege of being our senator, and it is refreshing indeed to meet a well-qualified candidate who is eager to work for us and not for her own ambition.
Beth Lindstrom has shown herself to be the only candidate worthy of our vote and the only one who has the courage to mount a serious challenge to Elizabeth Warren.
