Chloe Alfieri was named 2018 Hometeam Athlete of the Year by the Worcester Telegram & Gazette based on her spring 2018 high school outdoor track record. She helped her Bromfield team claim the Central/Western Mass. Division 2 Championship and then win the  all-state track meet in June. At the state meet, Alfieri placed first in the 100-meter and the 200-meter with times of 12.09 seconds and 24.47 seconds respectively, breaking team records for the meet. In the 4×400-meter relay, Alfieri led the team—including sophomores Tessa McClain and Samantha Schoenberg and freshman Claire Stoddard—to a second-place finish. The Telegram & Gazette said that she “solidified her claim as one of the most accomplished sprinters to ever emerge from Central Mass. with a stupendous senior season in which she didn’t lose an in-state race.” She went on to come in second in the New England regionals before going on to place 13th in the 200-meter emerging elite preliminary with a time of 24.63 seconds at the New Balance outdoor track nationals in North Carolina.

Alfieri is the child of Michael and Kelly Alfieri of Lancaster County Road. She is a member of the U.S. Naval Academy Class of 2022, where she was inducted June 28 and began basic midshipman training as part of Plebe Summer..
