At a Farmstand Near You: August 10 to 17, 2018

We’re at that magical time of year when local corn, peaches, and blueberries all overlap, and local farmstand bins are filled with a variety of produce, from Green Mountain potatoes to Shiro plums. Enjoy!


Carlson Orchards, 115 Oak Hill Road

Pick-your-own blueberries and yellow peaches. Blueberries, nectarines, and yellow and white peaches available in the store. Brookdale Fruit Farm’s corn, tomatoes (regular and organic cherry), zucchini, summer squash, cucumbers, pickling cucumbers, green peppers, green and yellow string beans, and white onions available in the store. Raspberry picking will be starting soon; check Carlson’s Facebook page for raspberry updates.


Doe Orchards, 327 Ayer Road

Pick-your-own blueberries. Blueberries and yellow and white peaches on the stand, along with Doe’s honey. Pick-your-own peaches will start later in August.


Old Frog Pond Farm, 38 Eldridge Road

Certified organic blueberries, peaches, potatoes, tomatoes, garlic, rhubarb, eggs, and a changing assortment of vegetables.


Westward Orchards, 178 Massachusetts Avenue

Blueberries ( pick-your-own and in the store), yellow and white peaches, plums, Jersey Mac apples, Red Bartlett pears. Corn, tomatoes (regular, heirloom, and cherry), lettuce, broccoli, peppers (bell and hot), eggplant, carrots, kale, Swiss chard, cucumbers, bok choy, beans, summer squash, zucchini, cabbage, cauliflower, peas, sweet potatoes, and a variety of herbs.


Willard Farm, 218 Still River Road

Corn, tomatoes (regular, yellow, and heirloom), peppers (sweet and hot), cucumbers, pickling cucumbers, zucchini, and summer squash. Red Norland, Green Mountain, and Yukon Gold potatoes. Ornamental edible pepper plants.
