Benjamin T. Smith, who grew up on Cleaves Hill Road in Harvard and graduated from Bromfield in 1978, left this world for a better one on March 6, 2018, at the age of 57.
Despite struggling with serious and often debilitating medical issues since birth, Benjamin, an extraordinary artist, lived a full and happy life.
He spent the past 30 years in the San Francisco Bay Area with his beloved wife, Jane, and their cherished pets.
Benjamin is the son of Maurice K. Smith of Harvard and the late Janice Hughes Smith, and he is the dear brother of Maggie Smith of Harvard and Michael Smith of Rumsey, California.
A private celebration of Benjamin’s life was held in Oakland on March 17, and another will be held in Harvard in early October
