Evan Bilafer and Elliot Stevenson were awarded the highest scouting rank of Eagle Scout at a ceremony Nov. 4 in the Stevensons’ barn on South Shaker Road. Bilafer is a senior at Bromfield and Stevenson is a senior at Kimball Union Academy in Plainfield, New Hampshire. Their achievement was recognized by the Board of Selectmen at its Nov. 7 meeting.
Bilafer created two information signs for the Harvard Soccer Club. One is at Depot Road field and the other is at the Charlie Waite field. His parents are Keith and Vicki Bilafer of Candleberry Lane. Stevenson led a group of seven scouts in building a covered bin with spots for trash, recycling, and lost and found at the Ryan playing fields on Depot Road. The goal was to keep lost and found items under cover and off the rocks as well as separating the recyclable bottles and cans from the rest of the trash. His parents are Will and Rika Stevenson of South Shaker Road
