Warren to perform with dance company in Boston

Jacob Warren, longtime Harvard resident and 2005 Bromfield graduate, is returning to the area with Pilobolus Dance Theater, an internationally acclaimed dance company and arts institution. Warren joined Pilobolus in 2012 and has performed in more than 700 shows in more than 30 countries with the company. Since its inception in 1971, Pilobolus has unceasingly produced genre-bending, multimedia performance projects using the combination of human bodies in adventurous, athletic, and surprising configurations to tell stories and reveal beauty in unexpected places.

Pilobolus will be performing at the Shubert Theater in Boston Friday, Oct. 27, at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28, at 8 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 29, at 3 p.m. In conjunction with the performances, Emily Kent, who is Pilobolus’ director of education, and members of the company will be teaching a master class at the Dance Complex, 536 Mass. Ave. in Cambridge Friday, Oct. 27, at 10 a.m. The class is open to the public and will give participants insight into the collaborative and creative techniques unique to the world of Pilobolus.
