Police made one traffic stop during the week and gave that driver a verbal warning. They also helped one motorist with a disabled vehicle, helped another get back into an inadvertently locked car, and responded to two requests for outdoor cooking fires. The ambulance crew responded to five medical emergencies and took two people to the hospital, with Advanced Life Support on board. Four people refused treatment or transport to the hospital.
Tuesday, Sept. 26
At 7 a.m. a 911 caller reported a single-car accident on Ayer Road. The caller said a small silver car had spun out in the front yard of a vacant Ayer Road house and then left. The caller was concerned about possible damage to the property. Police went to the address but found no property damage. A motorist called 911 at 5:04 p.m. to report being nearly driven off the road by another car on Ayer Road. Police went to the location but did not make contact with the vehicle.
Wednesday, Sept. 27
Someone called from St. Anne’s House on Still River Road at 10:50 a.m. to report receiving threatening phone calls. An officer followed up and determined the calls were part of an attempted scam. At 1:23 p.m. a 911 caller reported that a Great Dane had bitten two people at the town beach. Police went to the beach and spoke with the caller and the dog’s owner and learned that the bites were minor. The parties exchanged insurance information, and the incident was reported to the animal control officer. Ayer police called at 1:44 p.m. seeking backup from Harvard police at a motor vehicle accident in Ayer. Marlborough police called at 9:24 p.m. to request that an officer contact a Harvard resident. Police report that they were unable to reach the resident.
Thursday, Sept. 28
Ayer police called at 1:44 a.m. to request assistance in responding to a burglar alarm at Taco Bell in Ayer. At 6:21 a.m. a caller reported that a tree had fallen on Woodside Road and was blocking the roadway. The Department of Public Works was notified. Leominster police called at 9:38 a.m. to request that Harvard officers arrest an employee at a business in Harvard in connection with a domestic situation in Leominster. The employee was not located. An employee at Harvard Lanes called at 4:44 p.m. to report that a truck had taken down some wires in the parking lot. The caller said the truck driver stopped to provide insurance information but that assistance was needed to fix the wires. National Grid was notified.
Friday, Sept. 29
A Stow Road resident called at 4:38 a.m. to report hearing a door chime and expressed concern that an intruder might be in the house. An officer went to the home and checked it with the resident but found nothing out of order. At 10:32 a.m. a patrol officer stopped on East Bare Hill Road to tell workers from a tree company that their equipment had to be moved off the roadway. Someone stopped at the station at 1:06 p.m. to report the theft of a disability placard. A resident stopped at the station at 5:22 p.m. to report a case of harassment. An employee at Dunkin’ Donuts called at 7:26 p.m. to request that police disperse a group of youths from the property. The youths were in the process of leaving when police arrived.
Saturday, Sept. 30
Someone called the station at 11:21 a.m. to speak with an officer about a civil issue. At 3:51 p.m. a patrol officer stopped at the town line on Littleton Road to assist Littleton police officers in responding to a call about a possible drug overdose in Littleton. Police say the incident was not an overdose but did involve the use of alcohol. A Stow Road resident called at 9:35 p.m. to speak with an officer about a suspected case of harassment. Police say that more patrols will be assigned to that area.

Monday, Oct. 2
At 8:21 a.m. a caller reported that a household member had been involved in a minor accident 20 minutes earlier and had been unsure of what to do, so did not stop. The caller came to the station to speak with an officer about the incident and was given the contact information for the other party involved.
