The Bromfield Trojans trounced Maynard, Gardner, and Groton-Dunstable last week and tied against Oakmont Monday, Oct. 16.
On Tuesday, Oct. 10, Bromfield won 3–1 against the Maynard Tigers. Senior Sarah Moore scored two goals, while freshman Olivia Kehoe had the third. The Trojans played strongest in the second half of the game, Coach Kathryn Hayward reported: “We started to connect some beautiful passes up through the middle of the middle. Bella [Kehoe] connect[ed] to Sarah twice” and recorded two assists. “It was a good solid finish for us.”

The next day, Wednesday, Oct. 11, Olivia Kehoe brought the Trojans to a 2–0 home win against the Gardner Wildcats. Freshman Sam Schoenberg and freshman Bella Kehoe each had one assist.
Bromfield defeated Groton-Dunstable 4–1 away Friday, Oct. 13. Moore and Bella Kehoe each scored two goals, tying for top scorer of the game.
On Monday, Oct. 16, the Trojans faced the Oakmont Spartans and finished 1–1 in their first tie of the season. The teams proved evenly matched from the start and constantly moved the ball from one end of the field to the other. Defensive players frequently kicked the game ball out of bounds in last-ditch attempts to protect their goal from skilled offensive players. Bromfield goalie senior Sierra Gomez ran out of the net a number of times to confront Spartan players. Oakmont scored in the first half during a frantic fumble at the goal. Bromfield players persevered and kept shooting. Olivia Kehoe finally scored in the second half, off Schoenberg’s assist.
Following Monday’s game, Bromfield’s league record stood at 6–0, while the overall record was 12–2–1. The team’s next game was scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 18, at Littleton.
